Automotive Innovation: Top Three Honda Vehicles of 2016

The new 2016 Honda models have impacted the entire automotive industry. Not only do these vehicles look extremely stylish, but they also offer a very enjoyable driving experience. Here are three of the most exciting vehicles produced by Honda this year.

2016 Accord

Although the new Accord has not been completely redesigned, it has received a number of improvements. Longtime fans of the Accord will quickly notice its more aggressive appearance. A sporty front bumper enhances the sedan’s athletic appearance. Equipped with LED headlights and 19-inch alloy wheels, the Touring trim definitely stands out from the crowd.

Some of the new features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Like the previous version, the new Accord earned a class-leading safety rating. While the standard four-cylinder engine offers the best fuel efficiency, the V-6 engine pumps out a thrilling 278 horsepower. A high-performance exhaust comes standard on the Sport model.

2016 Civic

Of the new 2016 Hondas, the Civic has received the most notable changes. The small sedan features an all-new body and engine. The base four-cylinder engine now produces more power than ever. Gas mileage stands at a sensational 42 mpg on the open road. You can also upgrade to a new turbocharged engine that pumps out 174 horsepower. According to several automotive journalists, the 2016 Honda Civic handles exceptionally well on the road. The sedan’s new suspension does a great job of keeping its ride smooth and comfortable.

On the inside, the redesigned Civic provides a lot more space in the back. In fact, the Civic has slightly less legroom than the mid-size Accord. Some of the available safety innovations include an upgraded rear-view camera, a LaneWatch system, and forward collision warning. All versions of the Civic come with a strong anti-lock braking system.

2016 CRZ

When it comes to overall efficiency, very few sports cars compare to the new Honda CRZ. Equipped with a hybrid engine, the new CRZ is able to return a solid 36 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway. Unlike most of today’s hybrid automobiles, the CRZ is available with a six-speed manual gearbox. A special Sport button instantly provides the CRZ with a boost of performance.

In terms of styling, an aggressive front fascia and new fog lights give the hatchback a sportier appearance than before. The two-seater also comes loaded with plenty of cool components. Some of the standard goodies include a Display Audio system, Smart Entry, and an electronic parking brake. Like a modern smart phone, the CRZ’s touch-screen display features a swipe function. Heated seats are also available.
